Course Summary

This course is designed to help students safely operate Heavy Rigid vehicles while developing practical driving skills, confidence and road awareness in real-world conditions.

Training focuses on vehicle control, hazard awareness, safe driving practices and practical operation techniques to prepare students for heavy vehicle driving and assessment requirements.

Gearbox Information

Synchromesh Gearbox

Top Gear Training currently provides HR training in synchromesh gearbox vehicles only. Synchromesh gearboxes are commonly used in medium to large trucks and provide smoother gear changes with easier operation compared to road ranger gearboxes.
